Victoria, BC
Built from a Legacy.
In 1994, Victoria hosted the Commonwealth Games. The legacy fund created that year has grown to $27M, and it's still fueling the next generation of Canadian athletes.
What We Do
We fund and develop high-performance athletes in Victoria across 9 sports.
How We Do It
We partner with national sport organizations
94 Forward works directly with organizations like Triathlon Canada, Cycling Canada, and Athletics Canada to identify and support high-performance athletes.
Athletes are invited through their clubs and teams
Athletes don't apply directly. They're selected and invited through their national teams, provincial sport organizations, and clubs.
They train in Victoria with world-class coaching
Athletes come to Victoria for training camps at top facilities, with access to great coaching, sport science, and a community of high-performance peers.
94 Forward makes it possible
The legacy fund covers training venues, coaching, accommodations, and assessments, so athletes can focus on getting better instead of worrying about logistics.
Our Story
From $15.5M seed to $27M in impact.
The 1994 Commonwealth Games left Victoria with more than memories. A $15.5 million endowment became the foundation for 94Forward, a legacy fund that has since grown to $27 million. It continues investing in the athletes who call this city home.
